Use primary instructions

Our country pages and guides summarize photo requirements and link to their sources. The current instructions from the receiving passport authority, embassy, or application portal take precedence over our summaries.

Understand recorded dates

A date shown with a guide or specification records a content update in our data. It does not mean the authority changed its rules on that date, or that every requirement has been checked again this month. Pages without a recorded date do not claim a recent review.

Automated checks have limits

Automated photo checks are assistance with preparation, not an official approval or identity verification. Requirements can differ for digital uploads, printed photos, children, and individual application routes. Some authorities restrict digital editing or require professional photography.

Corrections

If a summary differs from an official instruction, follow the official instruction and send us the page and source link. We do not present automated calendar changes as new editorial reviews.
